Baked Penne with Salami
Ingredients
1 pack of Henderson's Italian Salami, chopped
1/4 cup chopped brown onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 jar spaghetti sauce
250ml cooking cream
2 teaspoons Italian herbs
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
3 cups cooked Penne pasta
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook the onion and garlic for 3 minutes until softened. Stir in the spaghetti sauce, 3/4 of the cooking cream and 1/2 cup of Mozzarella cheese.
Step 2
Cook and stir mixture until cheese is melted; about 5 minutes. Gently stir in the cooked penne pasta and salami to combine.
Step 3
Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Dot the rest of the cooking cream evenly over the pasta then sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella evenly all over the top.
Step 4
Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving with a side salad.
